Mother of former Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko who is imprisoned in the Kachanivska penal colony in Kharkiv did not arrive to visit her daughter on Friday, March 9.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that around 10:30 am Yehenia Tymoshenko, daughter of Yulia Tymoshenko, entered the penal colony accompanied by Tymoshenko’s defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko.
Yehenia Tymoshenko did not speak to journalists. People who brought he confirmed that Tymoshenko’s mother would not come to visit her daughter.
As reported, the leadership of Kachanivska Penal Colony No. 54 in Kharkiv has allowed Tymoshenko to have a three-day meeting with her mother and daughter from March 9 to March 11, 2012.
"In accordance with current Ukrainian legislation, the prisoner has the right to have such a long meeting with close relatives once every three months. The meeting is held in a special room in which visitors could live together with the convict for no more than three days," reads the statement.
