Opposition deputies in Kyiv City Council have blocked the rostrum, demanding a repeat vote on the Privatization Program for 2013 due to the fact that somebody voted for a deputy of the Regions Party faction who was absent from the sitting.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter at the city council, 61 deputies supported the amended Privatization Program on Thursday, which is the necessary number of votes for the approval of the decisions.

At the same time, UDAR faction members pointed at the fact that somebody allegedly voted for Regions Party deputy Petro Lebid, who was absent from the sitting. However, Secretary of Kyiv City Council Halyna Hereha ignored the statement and passed onto the next issue on the agenda.

The opposition deputies then blocked the rostrum, and Hereha had to announce a break in the sitting.
