Vitali Klitschko's UDAR Party has said that its candidates for people's deputies are suffering pressure from their political opponents.

“They put pressure on the whole opposition. And this pressure is ten times higher for the UDAR Party. I mean both psychological and physical pressure,” the head of the party’s legal department, Valeriy Karpuntsov, said at a press conference on Wednesday.

“This is mainly a targeted campaign, a targeted attack against all candidates, and mostly against candidates for majority constituencies,” he said.

According to Karpuntsov, every member of the party affected by such pressure will receive legal and moral assistance.

He added that all cases of pressure will be published on the Web site of the party and currently a monitoring and systematization of the relevant information are underway.

In turn, Head of Donetsk regional organization of the UDAR Party Yehor Firsov said that the Regions Party was afraid of its rivals.

“They are afraid that we could become a real alternative, and that’s why the party resorted to such actions,” he said.
