Ukraine's consulate general in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) has been closed down, according to a statement on the consulate's Facebook page. 

“In compliance with the decision of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, the consulate general of Ukraine in Nizhny Novgorod stops its work. From now on, for consular matters one should address a consular department of the Ukrainian Embassy in Russia,” the statement reads.

As reported, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry earlier expressed the intent to streamline the ministry’s structure.
