The government is resuming the system of government contractual work in science, technological and innovation sectors. We are implementing comprehensive mechanisms of sponsorship of innovation activity, particularly, cutting the cost of credits and encouraging commercial banks to more actively credit innovative projects," Berkuta said in the course of a research and practical conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

Berkuta noted that a committee on science, technology and innovation development had been formed within the government.

He also noted that the national budget for 2010 foresees UAH 1.8 billion for the implementation of innovation and investment projects in the real sector of the economy.
