You're reading: Vote count process at election stations not to be broadcast on-line

The video surveillance system at election wards during the vote count will record the process, but not broadcast it live.

This is stipulated in an order on video surveillance at the voting
stations, and access and control over the functioning of this system,
which was approved at a sitting of the Central Election Commission on
Thursday.

According to the document, on-line video surveillance will be
launched from the moment the elections start on Oct. 28 and will last
until the end of the voting. Then the system will record the election
process only for further storage.

The video recording will continue until the approval of the protocol
on the voting results. It should be stored for a year from the day of
the official announcement of the final results of elections.

This order does not concern foreign and special polling stations, or
district election commissions and Central Election Commission.

The video surveillance system should be tested not later than ten days before the elections.
