Strasbourg, June 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Constitutional Court of Ukraine issued a ruling on the use of the red banner of victory in line with the country's constitution, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"The Constitutional Court of Ukraine issued the ruling in line with the current constitution, and this ruling does not prevent any person or organization from raising on Victory Day the flag that was raised over the Reichstag building during the Second World War," he said in Strasbourg on Tuesday, while answering questions from MEPs at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
