Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a decree on the creation of a working group on judicial reform headed by Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych.
The president’s decree, which was posted on his official Web site on Wednesday, reads that the group should put forward proposals to improve the legislative resolution of issues of the judicial system, legal proceedings and the status of judges. The president will expect the proposals within a month for subsequent submission to the Ukrainian parliament.
