Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has met with Vice Premier - Social Policy Minister Sergiy Tigipko and instructed him to prepare within two months a bill on the legalization of wages and jobs, the Labor Code and a bill on the introduction of the second stage of the pension reform, so that in September these issues can be put up for public discussion.

Yanukovych and Tigipko discussed amendments to the bill on pension reform, the presidential press service reported on Tuesday, quoting the vice premier. Tigipko said the parliament’s committee in charge of drafting this bill would address the amendments to this document on Tuesday.

Summing up the meeting with the president, the vice premier noted that if all the tasks set by Yanukovych for the government are fulfilled, they will be able to increase pensions by 60% in 2012.

"This is a comprehensive solution, and we need to vote for the amendments to the pension legislation, which we have put forward…" Tigipko said, adding that this will allow pensions to rise.
