Elections to the local authorities in Ukraine will take place in 2011, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
Asked at the PACE session in Strasbourg on Tuesday whether he would be "the president of the whole of Ukraine, rather than its eastern part," Yanukovych said: "The Ukrainian people will draw such a conclusion. We’ll face new elections in the near future. Elections to the local authorities will be held in 2011."
