Elections to the local authorities in Ukraine will take place in 2011, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said. Asked at the PACE session in Strasbourg on Tuesday whether he would be "the president of the whole of Ukraine, rather than its eastern part," Yanukovych said: "The Ukrainian people will draw such a conclusion. We'll face new elections in the near future. Elections to the local authorities will be held in 2011."

So his time they will take the consequence of the ammendment in the constitution that the individuals can choose which alliance they will take in the Rada?

Let the people choose the persons, and not parties as of now, also for the local governments.

According to the KP's previous publications, the bill requesting a delay in local elections was submitted by a female OU-PSD deputy due to financial reasons in Ukraine.

Nothing to do with the fact that OU-PSD will get slaughtered in the local elections of course.
