Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has made a presentation to the Ukrainian parliament, asking MPs to approve the appointment of Vasyl Tsushko to the post of head of the Antimonopoly Committee.
To date Tsushko has served as economy minister.
Oleksiy Kostusev of the Regions Party currently heads the Antimonopoly Committee. He was elected mayor of Odesa at local elections on October 31.
