The law enforcement agencies will soon publish a report on the acquisition by Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych of the Mezhyhirya residence, Yanukovych has said. "I think that you'll soon hear comments from the law enforcement agencies, and perhaps, from the Prosecutor General's Office. I think that a court meeting on this issue will also be held," he said on the Krym state television and radio company in Simferopol on Wednesday.

Yanukovych said that the residence, in which he has lived for over five years, was allocated to him as prime minister by then Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma and incumbent President Viktor Yuschenko.

"I haven’t changed the size of this land plot – 1.7 hectares," he said.

Yanukovych said that he had reconstructed the residence using his own funds.
