You're reading: Yanukovych signs law on Cabinet

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a law on the Cabinet of Ministers, which meets the requirements of the Constitution adopted in 1996 and allows the president to form the government and dismiss the premier without the participation of the parliament.

This was reported by the president’s website.

The head of state also signed amendments in a number of laws, thus bringing them in compliance with the 1996 constitution.

The laws include those on the amendments to the law on the Security Service of Ukraine, local state administrations, on the Constitutional Court of Ukraine etc.
