Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych has said that he does not consider the tax code to be perfect.

Asked on the Inter TV Channel on Sunday evening whether he considers the amended Tax Code with presidential proposals to be perfect, Yanukovych said: "I believe there are no perfect documents at all. As the document of such a level represents pressure on the public, [and] on the business in some way. And it is impossible to be glad about the pressure being put on you by the state".

At the same time, the president said that the result of the adoption of the Tax Code would be to achieve transparency in expenditures and to bring the economy out of the shadows.
