Viktor Yanukovych will make a working visit to Moscow on Oct. 22, to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the presidential press service has said on Oct.19.

“During their meeting, Viktor Yanukovych and Vladimir Putin will discuss a wide range of important issues. In particular, [they will discuss] the further development of interregional and border cooperation between Ukraine and Russia, development prospects for cooperation in production in the rocket and space and aviation spheres, as well as in the sphere of nuclear energy,” reads the statement.

The sides are planning to sign a number of documents on the results of the meeting.

As reported, on Oct. 19, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov came on a one-day visit to Kyiv to discuss the Russian Black Sea Fleet affairs, the Transdniestrian settlement, and the upcoming visit of the Ukrainian president to Moscow.
