Bratislava (Slovakia), June 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said he wishes Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko to prove his innocence in court.
"I wish Yulia Tymoshenko to prove her innocence in court and continue to live, work and do her favorite things," he said at a joint press conference with his Slovak counterpart Ivan Gasparovic in Bratislava on Friday.
While commenting on a statement by Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka concerning the ban on Tymoshenko’s travel abroad, Yanukovych said that such decisions should be taken by law enforcers.
"I’m not a prosecutor, and I cannot take such decisions," he said.
