Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has tasked the country's Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan with preparing a gas balance, data on the transit of Russian gas through the country, and information on Ukraine's debt to Russia for gas delivered.
“The request to the energy minister is so that we obtain concrete
figures on the debt to Russia, and the balance of the gas that we have
in storage is also needed, and I also request figures of how much Russia
is pumping through the Ukrainian gas-transport system,” he said.
Prodan is also to ensure uninterrupted gas deliveries and a stable supply of energy for the country.
