Thanks to the efforts of Yatseniuk and Yushenko who refused to support their democratic coalition partner, Yulia, for presidency, Yanu is now president.
These two...Yats & Yanu are traitors to democracy in Ukraine.
They supported Yanu in hopes of becoming part of the new govt.
Sadly for them, Yanu fooled them and now these worthless individuals are on the outside of this corrupt political system.
Had these two traitors supported Yulia, Ukraine would have a more democratic govt.
Instead, thanks to their efforts in undermining Yulia's bid for the presidency, Ukraine has moved away from democracy into a corrupt and ruthless police state.
Matters not... he can expect a big fat "No" and no help what so ever in seeing Yulia from the Prosecutor General or anyone else under this administration for that matter. Why would they help him discuss a union of the opposition that will oppose them? That's like saying help me to cut of your hand! If very powerful EU. Members cannot see Yulia despite repeated diplomatic high level requests... what makes this guy think he can? Find another way guy, as unity is very important and without it no party has a prayer against the current party in power.
Although Arseniy Yatseniuk has been rightfully criticised for past errors of judgement he and his Party, The Front For Change, have wisely agreed at a Party Convention held on April 07/2012 to join Batkivshchyna in a single Party list for the entire electoral process for the new Verkhovna Rada in October 2012. This merger can only enhance the strength of Opposition forces. As for his request to meet with Yulia Tymoshenko on April 17/2012, in as much as it would be desireable for both parties, it is almost certain that the authorities will never agree to this legitimate consideration. The Government would of course never consider assisting the Opposition in any type of format but the date of the request is also symbolic in that it is the opening date by the European Court of Human Rights into the illegal trial and conviction of the former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko. Nevertheless, the joining of the two primary Opposition forces will hopefully provide impetus for other groups in the Opposition to jump on the band wagon and provide a credible and real alternative to the thoroughly corrupt juggernaut that they will have to deal with in the upcoming October elections. A glimmer of actual victory has presented itself and it must not be squandered away by personal ambitions.
