You're reading: Yatseniuk will discuss opposition’s participation in 2015 presidential elections with Tymoshenko, rather than Klitschko

The head of the council of the Batkivschyna United Opposition, Arseniy Yatseniuk, has said that will he discuss the format of the opposition's participation in presidential elections in 2015 with former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, rather than with UDAR Party leader Vitali Klitschko.

When asked how opposition politicians, particularly he and
Klitschko, could agree on their presidential ambitions, Yatseniuk
said: “I’m ready to talk with Yulia Volodymyrivna Tymoshenko
about what you asked me.”

He said that the preliminary election results were an important
foundation for Ukraine’s return to the European path of democratic
development, “but it’s necessary to fight a lot before the
presidential elections and during the presidential campaign in order
to remove [incumbent President Viktor] Yanukovych from power, so that
democratic authorities could get not only a majority in parliament,
but also the post of president and the executive branch of
government.”
