Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk met with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker to discuss bilateral cooperation during a working visit to Brussels.

“The Ukrainian prime minister outlined the essence of the key governmental reforms being pursued within the framework of financial stabilization in Ukraine. In this context, Yatseniuk and Juncker discussed aspects of efficient financial support for this process by the European Commission,” the Ukrainian government press service said in a statement on March 19.

Yatseniuk and Juncker also attached significance to a common policy in relation to Russia and the implementation of the Minsk agreements, the press service said.

The Ukrainian prime minister informed his counterpart of the steps recently taken by Ukraine, particularly the Verkhovna Rada’s amendments to the law on special status of certain districts in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
