The leader of the Our Ukraine Party, Viktor Yuschenko, expects that the union of patriotic forces would receive more than 10% of votes at the upcoming parliamentary elections.
“We will get more than 10% of national support. This is my opinion,” he told journalists on Tuesday, July 31.
According to the new election legislation, parties may not unite into
blocs. The law also foresees the election of people’s deputies under a
mixed system (50% from party tickets and 50% from constituencies) and
introduces a 5% election threshold.
