MOSCOW - Ankara will not join Western sanctions against Russia, Turkish Ambassador in Moscow Umit Yardim said.

“Sanctions are not the method which should be used in global politics. Turkey is set to abide by the decisions of the United Nations Organization,” he said at a press conference in Moscow on Oct. 24.

“I do not see Russia-Turkey relations with regard to and in the context of the sanctions. Our relations have their own nature and we will continue to develop them in the same manner,” he said.
