Gazprom did not discuss cooperation on the South Kirinskoye field with Chinese partners in connection with the announcement of US sanctions, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said.

“We did not discuss the issue of the South Kiriskoye field in the framework of the memorandum [signed in Beijing on Thursday]. In accordance with the memorandum Russia supplies gas to China from the Russian gas transport system,” Miller said on Sep. 3 in Beijing, answering a question from Interfax as to whether the possibility for cooperation was discussed with Chinese partners on the development of the South Kirinskoye field due to exposure to U.S. sanctions.
