Moscow - Criminal charges have been brought against Leonid Razvozzhayev, an aide to lawmaker Ilya Ponomaryov, as part of the criminal inquiry into the alleged organization of mass disturbances, Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax on Tuesday.

“Razvozzhayev was charged with organizing mass disturbances (articles 30 and 212 of the Criminal Code),” Markin said.

At the request of the Investigative Committee’s Main Investigations Department, a court ordered Razvozzhayev’s detention pending an inquiry into the claims made in the film, “Anatomy of Protest-2. He was declared wanted on October 18.

“Razvozzhayev informed the Investigative Committee’s Main Investigations Department on October 21, that he wants to turn himself in,” Markin said.

“He described in detail how he, Left Front leader Sergei Udaltsov and others were organizing mass disturbances in Russia and said that the persons named were involved in the mass disturbances on Bolotnaya Square on May 6,” Markin said.
