Moscow, June 25 (Interfax) - Syrians must resolve the political situation in their country themselves, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
“It is wrong to start a political dialogue in Syria from
pre-conditions, as some of our partners want. The Syrians should be
allowed to decide themselves,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady
Gatilov wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
“The aim of the meeting of ‘external actors’ should be precisely to create conditions for launching such a dialogue,” he said.
