Moscow, May 10 (Interfax) - On Wednesday the State Duma is planning to issue a statement regarding the events that occurred in Lviv on May 9.

At a Duma plenary session on Tuesday, House Speaker Boris Gryzlov instructed three relevant committees to draft the statement.

"I instructed three committees – for CIS affairs, veterans and international affairs – to prepare a statement over the rowdy behavior by Lviv nationalists and to discuss it at a plenary session tomorrow," Gryzlov said.

On May 9 nationalists seized a wreath from Russian diplomats on the way to the Hill of Glory in Lviv and crushed the wreath that Russian Consul General Oleg Astakhov was going to lay at a military cemetery.

Also, veterans and representatives from public organizations, who were present at the Hill of Glory, were attacked by nationalists who tried to disrupt the festivities. Nationalists also clashed with police.
