BRUSSELS - The Council of the European Union, whose foreign ministers met in Brussels on Jan. 29, resolved to extend the sanctions imposed against certain individuals and organizations, whom it considers implicated in violation of Ukraine's sovereignty, until September 2015, the head of the EU diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, told a press conference in Brussels on Jan. 29.

Furthermore, the Council gave one week to the European Commission and the European External Action Service to draft additions to the sanctions lists of individuals and organizations. The decision is due to be made by the EU Foreign Affairs Council on Feb. 9, she said.
