Tbilisi - Tbilisi says it welcomes the decision of the European Union to sign the EU-Georgia Association Agreement not in August 2014, but two months earlier - by June 2014.

“It is very important that the signing date has been moved up by two months. This is not just because the EU is interested in speeding up the process, but because Georgia is ready for signing the Association Agreement with the EU,” Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze told reporters on March 21.

The decision to change the timeline of signing the agreements with Georgia and Moldova was made at the EU summit on March 20 and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso posted in the internet.
