Forty victims of the plane crash that has occurred near Yaroslavl have been identified and DNA tests will be needed to identify the remaining three victims, the regional department of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry told Interfax.

"Relatives have recently identified Swedish goalkeeper Stefan Liv," the department said.

The relatives of hockey players Pavel Trakhanov, Robert Dietrich (who had Russian and German citizenship), and plane captain Andrei Solomentsev could not identify them visually and DNA tests will have to be performed.
