Moscow - Russian gas exports outside the CIS will decline 25 percent to 9.8 billion cubic meters (bcm) in February year-on-year, according to Interfax calculations using data from European gas transmission operators.

Gazprom exported 11.445 bcm in January 2015, 28.6 percent or 4.578 bcm less than in January 2014.

Since September 2014, Gazprom has limited exports to customers in Europe in order to deprive them of resources for reverse deliveries to Ukraine. Despite that, deliveries to Ukraine from Europe have increased. The decline in deliveries to Europe and Ukraine are the main reason for the decline in gas production by Gazprom and Russia overall.
