MOSCOW - The management of the Russian-Polish JV EuRoPol GAZ, which is made up of representatives of the Polish and Russian gas monopolies, PGNiG and Gazprom, discussed the future joint steps for the development of the company, Gazprom said.

A year ago, Gazprom Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev, the head of the supervisory board of EuRoPol GAZ, said that the meeting of EuRoPol GAZ, “based on some political issues” could not officially consider the feasibility study of the Yamal-Europe 2 project.

In the press release PGNiG said that, at the meeting that took place on Thursday, the financial reports and the reports on the activity of EuRoPol GAZ for the last three years (2012-2014) were confirmed.

EuRoPol GAZ was founded in 1993 as part of an intergovernmental agreement, “On the construction of a system of gas pipelines for the transit of Russian gas through the territory of Poland and Russian gas supplies to Poland” from Augю 25, 1993. The main shareholders of EuRoPol GAZ are PJSC Gazprom and Poland’s national company PGNiG SA. The company is the owner of the section of this gas pipeline on the territory of Poland.
