Tbilisi, September 1 (Interfax) - Former Georgian football star Kakha Kaladze will top the electoral list of the opposition coalition Georgian Dream, says Bidzina Ivanishvili, the coalition's founder.

“Kakha Kaladze, our prominent athlete and simply a very good man, will be our number one,” Ivanishvili said at a press conference on Friday.

Ivanishvili accused the authorities of trying “to blacken Kaladze,” whose only weak spot, he said, is lack of political experience.

Following Kaladze on the list will be Manana Kobakhidze, the head of the party Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia, Irakly Alasania, the leader of Free Democrats, David Usupashvili, the Republican Party leader, Gogi Topadze, the leader of the party Industry Will Save Georgia, Gubaz Sanikidze, a National Forum leader, and Zviad Dzidziguri, a Conservative Party leader, Ivanishvili said.

The Georgian Dream list numbers a total of 200 candidates.

The parliamentary elections in Georgia are scheduled for October 1.

The ruling party United National Movement on Friday accused Ivanishvili and Georgian Dream of preparing not for elections but for riots following the elections.
