TBILISI - Tbilisi has no immediate plans to consider the possibility of restoring diplomatic relations with Moscow, Zurab Abashidze, the Georgian prime minister's envoy in charge of normalizing relations with Russia, said.

“There is a red line that we will not cross – it is Georgia’s
territorial integrity and its free choice. That is why, as long as our
territorial integrity remains broken, we will not consider the
possibility of reviving diplomatic relations with Russia,” he told the
Rustavi 2 television station on Thursday evening.

However, there are issues that could be sorted out soon, he said.

“For example, we could resolve trade and humanitarian issues, which would require political goodwill,” Abashidze said.
