You're reading: Kobyakov appointed Belarusian PM instead of Myasnikovich

MINSK - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has given his go-ahead to appointing Andrei Kobyakov prime minister instead of Mikhail Myasnikovich, the presidential press service told Interfax.

Before the appointment, Kobyakov has served as presidential chief of staff.

Vasily Matyushevsky has been appointed first deputy prime minister, the office earlier occupied by Vladimir Semashko, who has now become a deputy prime minister.

Natalya Kachanova has also been appointed deputy prime minister.

Alexander Kosinets, who has served until lately as head of the Vitebsk regional administration, has been appointed presidential chief of staff.

Nikolai Snopkov and Igor Buzovsky have been appointed deputy presidential chiefs of staff. Before the appointment, Snopkov had served as economy minister and Buzovsky led the youth organization BRSM.

Lukashenko has also approved the appointment of Pavel Kallaur the chairman of the National Bank instead of Nadezhda Yermakova.
