MOSCOW - Former Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin has offered a recipe for preventing Orange Revolution-like events in Russia using Ukraine's experience.
"The Orange Revolution in Ukraine was provoked by the authorities – by voting fraud [during the presidential election runoff in 2004]," Kudrin said on his Twitter page.
"Is it clear to everyone how Orange Revolutions can be prevented?" he said.
A rally organized by people who called themselves Orange Revolution opponents took place on Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow on Feb. 4. The action organizers accused opposition supporters who joined a For Fair Elections rally, held on Bolotnaya Square on the same day, of attempting to provoke such events.
