The Day of the Baptism of the Kyivan Rus is to be marked simultaneously in three capitals – Kyiv, Moscow, and Minsk.

During a press conference, the producer and presenter of the celebratory events, Yuriy Molchanov, said that on July 28 the Orthodox Church would mark a holiday devoted to Saint Prince Volodymyr.

"For the first time, this year the Day of the Baptism of the Kyivan Rus will be marked in three countries on the same day and at the same time," Molchanov said.

He added that musicians, artists, painters, sportsmen, and scientists would attend the celebration. Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia will also visit the capital of Ukraine for the events.
