MP Nadia Savchenko's lawyer Mark Feygin posted transcripts of interrogations of the head of the so-called "Luhansk People's Republic" (LPR) Ihor Plotnitsky on June 30.

“So, we’ll post the first material of the criminal case against Nadia Savchenko. It’s the testimony of leader of unrecognized LPR Ihor Plotnitsky. His testimony touches upon the events of June 17 and June 23, 2014, the moment when Savchenko was captured and of her alleged ‘voluntary release’ from Zoria battalion,” Feygin wrote on his website on June 30.

The lawyer posted photocopies of the transcripts. The photos show that Plotnitsky was interrogated on March 9, 2015 in Donetsk, Rostov region and on May 15, 2015 in Voronezh.

Earlier, Savchenko said her intention was to finish examining the materials of the case by July 2 as she did not see reason in “spending more time of her life in prison on examining.”

Her lawyer Ilya Novikov predicted that his defendant would be found guilty and subject to imprisonment for a long period of time.

“Let’s agree beforehand, the verdict on Nadia Savchenko will be guilty. It will also be quite long, I think 13 years [in prison], or even more,” he said on June 21.
