MINSK - Russian President Vladimir Putin's current official visit to Minsk signals that there is a great future in store for the two states, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said.

"Thank you very much for this visit. This visit is more important than most economic agreements of Belarus and Russia. It is a signal that there is a great future in store for us," he told journalists on Thursday.
