Poll: Azeri President Aliyev supported by over 90% of voters

BAKU - An overwhelming majority of voters in Azerbaijan would support incumbent President Ilham Aliyev in presidential elections if they were held soon, the Rey (Opinion) monitoring center found after conducting a nationwide public opinion poll of about 1,500 adult respondents on April 8-11. If presidential elections in Azerbaijan were held next Sunday, about 91% of those polled would vote for Aliyev, and 76% do not see an alternative to Aliyev as president, the poll found.
The Kyiv Post is disabling its online comment section due to an increase in trolls, violent comments and other personal attacks. Other news organizations worldwide have taken similar steps for the same reasons. The Kyiv Post regrets having to take this action. The newspaper believes in a robust public debate, but the discussion must be constructive and intelligent.
