MOSCOW- Billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, who will seek the office of Russian president in March's elections, has entrusted Anton Krasovsky, an editor and presenter on Russia's NTV television, with running his election campaign.

"It is true that Krasovsky has been put at the head of the election campaign committee of Mikhail Dmitriyevich. But we cannot give you any details," Prokhorov’s press service told Interfax on Wednesday.

Earlier, Prokhorov denied rumors that his campaign would be run by famous pop singer Alla Pugachyova.

"Since I came here I have been asked several times whether Pugachyova would head my committee," Prokhorov said at a meeting of an action group that is organizing his nomination as a candidate. "Very soon I will introduce to you the person who will do this. But that won’t be Pugachyova."

The election campaign of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who has been put forward by the United Russia party, is coordinated by film director Stanislav Govorukhin and that of the Just Russia party’s candidate, Sergei Mironov, by actress Rimma Markova.
