Trieste - Moscow will respect the choice Ukraine will make: to remain within the free trade zone with Russia, or to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union.
“The choice between signing an associated membership agreement with anyone, or to remain within the free trade zone with Russia is Ukraine’s sovereign right. We will undoubtedly respect this choice, whatever it is,” Putin told reporters in Trieste on Tuesday after Russian-Italian interstate consultations.
