Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was confident demand for energy in Russia and abroad would be stable in the short term.

“Experts estimate that demand for fuel and its derivatives will be stable for the next decade, moreover both in Russia and on the world markets,” Putin said at the first meeting of the new presidential fuel and energy commission.

“Our job is to ensure all mechanisms of the fuel and energy complex work clearly and without disruption, to create a system of bearings for its development,” he said.
