Russia's agriculture watchdog says horse meat has been found in sausages imported from a European country. 

Officials with Rosselkhoznadzor said on February 27 that horse DNA was found in a shipment of beef sausages delivered to the Moscow region and believed to have come from Austria.

Meanwhile, furniture retailer Ikea has halted sales of wiener sausage in five European countries, saying tests had revealed traces of horse meat from its Swedish supplier.

The sausages should contain pork and beef and were sold at Ikea stores in France, Spain, Britain, Ireland, and Portugal.
