You're reading: Relatives of foreign victims of Yak-42 air crash to receive free Russian visas

Moscow, September 8 (Interfax) - The relatives of the people killed in the air crash near Yaroslavl will be issued with Russian visas free of charge, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said.

"Instructions have been given to our consular sections abroad to issue free visas to the relatives of those killed," he said at a briefing in Moscow on Thursday.

"Air carriers have been informed about the Foreign Ministry’s preparedness to issue visas upon arrival at Russian airports," the diplomat said.

The victims’ relatives will be issued with official visas valid for up to ten days, Lukashevich said.

Among the air crash victims are nationals of the Czech Republic, Sweden, Canada, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, and Latvia, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
