Novo-Ogaryovo, Moscow region - Russia and Armenia have agreed on energy supply.

“An agreement has been reached on supplies of energy from Russia to Armenia,” Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said in a joint statement summing up outcomes of the latter’s visit to Russia.

The document also reaffirms the two countries’ willingness to put into practice the existing bilateral projects aimed at modernizing and diversifying Armenia’s economy and strengthening its energy security.

The two presidents underscored the importance of the work on extending the service life of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant and the construction of a new nuclear power plant in the country.
