MOSCOW - Russia and Transdniestria signed a large package of documents promoting cooperation between them on Nov. 11.

The signature ceremony took place in the presence of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and leader of the self-proclaimed Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic Evgheni Sevciuk.

The Russian Finance Ministry and the Transdniestrian Finance Ministry signed an agreement on cooperation and on providing assistance in the development of the financial sector.

Memorandums on cooperation have also been signed between the Russian Communications and Mass Media Ministry and the Transdniestrian State Communications, Information and Media Service and between the Russian consumer protection watchdog Rospotrebnadzor and the Transdniestrian Health Ministry and the State Supervision Service.

The Russian Health Ministry and the Transdniestrian Health Ministry also signed a memorandum on cooperation in the healthcare sector. A protocol of negotiations on interaction in the transportation sector has also been signed with a Transdniestrian delegation.
