The Russian aviation group deployed in Syria has delivered targeted strikes against the facilities of the international terrorist organization ISIL in the territory of Syria in the past 24 hours.

“All strikes were aimed at disorganizing control and disrupting the terrorists’ logistics system,” Major-General Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, told reporters on Monday.

He specified that Sukhoi Su-34, Su-24m and Su-25 planes flew 25 missions from the air base Hmeimim.

“Nine ISIL facilities were bombed,” the general said.

Sukhoi Su-24M bombers destroyed an ISIL command post near Al-Rastan, Homs Province. The facility was fully destroyed as a result of a direct hit, Konashenkov said.

Three facilities used by terrorists were bombed in the area of the populated locality of Tell-Bisa, Homs Province.

“Sukhoi Su-34 and Su-24M planes destroyed two ammunition warehouses of the terrorists. The bombing caused a fire and detonation of ammunition in the warehouses, as a result of which the facilities were destroyed,” Konashenkov said.

Sukhoi Su-24M bombers bombed the terrorists’ communication facility used for coordination between terrorist units in the Homs Province.

“The facility was destroyed by a direct hit on the building where it was located. Radio reconnaissance has confirmed that it has stopped functioning,” the general said.

Additionally, an ISIL command post was bombed in the area of Beit-Mnain, Latakia Province. The facility was fully destroyed by a targeted strike delivered by a Sukhoi Su-24 plane. “Objective control data have registered two fires at the facility,” Konashenkov said.

Sukhoi Su-25 attack planes have bombed an ISIL terrorists’ training camp in the area of the Jisr Ash-Shugur (Idlib Province).

“The buildings where the terrorists’ ammunition warehouse was located were destroyed. The detonation of ammunition destroyed four vehicles,” Konashenkov said.

A militant artillery firing position was found during air reconnaissance by drone planes in the area of Jabal Koba, Idlib Province. “Sukhoi Su-25 planes bombed that target, destroying three artillery weapons and a field munitions warehouse,” Konashenkov said.

A camouflaged terrorists’ base, where some thirty units of motor and armored vehicles, including T-55 tanks previously taken from the Syrian army, was found in a forest area near the city of Idlib.

“Six air strikes were delivered on the facility, as a result of which the militants’ equipment was fully destroyed,” Konashenkov said.

“Sukhoi Su-24M frontline bombers bombed the militants’ reactive artillery firing position near the populated area of Jisr Ash-Shugur, Idlib Province, using air reconnaissance results. Objective control data confirmed a fire of the equipment and detonation of the ammunition in the facility,” Konashenkov said.
