 Moscow - Moscow and Paris call for compliance with the Minsk agreements and an effective negotiating process in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Russian State Secretary – Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin met with French Ambassador in Moscow Jean-Maurice Ripert on Jan. 30 “to discuss prospects for the Ukraine crisis settlement,” says a report posted on the Ministry website on Jan. 30. “They emphasized the need for the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements, the soonest restoration of the ceasefire regime and the launch of an effective negotiating process between Kyiv and southeastern Ukraine.”

Karasin and Ripert also touched upon the Geneva consultations on stability and security in the South Caucasus.
