Meanwhile, on April 22-27 a group of Russian inspectors on an Antonov An-30B will make observation flights over the territories of Latvia and Lithuania.

“In Latvia, flights will be made from the Riga airdrome and in Lithuania from Siauliau. The maximum range of the routes agreed in advance will be 800 kilometers over Latvia and 715 kilometers over Lithuania,” a Defense Ministry spokesman said.

Aboard the aircraft, Russian inspectors together with their colleagues will control the procedure of the use of monitoring systems and the observation of existing understandings.

These will be the 11th and 12th inspection flights in 2013 conducted by Russian representatives over the countries-signatories to the treaty.
