Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's Facebook page was attacked by hackers on Friday, Georgian media reported on Saturday with a reference to officials from the presidential secretariat.
Hundreds of messages were pouring on the president’s page for an hour and a half, saying that Saakashvili is ethnically Armenian, that his wife Sandra Roelofs is an agent of U.S. special services, and that the Georgian people deserve a better president.
The page has now been cleared of hackers’ messages and is functioning as it should.
This was not the first time that Saakashvili’s web page has been hacked.
